Windows desktop app rendering Spotify playback as an in-game overlay.

About the project

A Windows desktop application for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator: it renders Spotify playback as a transparent in-game overlay — no Alt+Tab needed — synchronized with live game telemetry (speed, brakes, location).

The challenge

Drawing graphics over the game's DirectX render pipeline without frame drops, safely injecting into the game process with EasyHook, reading real-time telemetry from the game's official SDK, and keeping a stable Spotify API connection with automatic token refresh.

The result

A lightweight, modular overlay shipped with a plugin architecture: SharpDX rendering across DirectX 9–11, a built-in EmbedIO web server for settings, and simultaneous compatibility with both games.
